Together, we set the standard at Stepaside FC.
To all parents and supporters of Stepaside FC,
The season is well underway, and it’s fantastic to see the results, match reports and updates coming through each week. It really brings home just how many children and teams are now proudly representing Stepaside across all age groups.
As our club continues to grow, we want Stepaside FC to be about more than just what happens on the football pitch.
We want to create an environment where children can enjoy their football, develop their skills, make friends and feel part of something positive. Just as importantly, we want Stepaside to be a club that parents are happy and proud to bring their children to.
We want to create an environment where children can enjoy their football, develop their skills, make friends and feel part of something positive. Just as importantly, we want Stepaside to be a club that parents are happy and proud to bring their children to.
Our coaches have an important responsibility to lead by example through positive language and respect for players, referees, opponents and supporters.
We also have clear expectations around behaviour at our matches and training sessions, including no smoking or vaping on the sidelines or beside the pitches.
We also have clear expectations around behaviour at our matches and training sessions, including no smoking or vaping on the sidelines or beside the pitches.
However, creating the right environment is something we all share responsibility for.
We ask all parents, family members and supporters to help us uphold these standards by:
- Respecting referees – disagreements should never turn into shouting or abuse.
- Encouraging all players – applaud good football and positive play, regardless of which team a player represents.
- Setting the right example – remember that children see and hear what happens on the sidelines, and our behaviour can have a lasting influence on their experience of the game.
- Keeping our pitch areas smoke- and vape-free – this applies during both matches and training sessions.
We all represent Stepaside FC, and the example we set matters. By working together, we can ensure our club remains a positive, welcoming environment where children enjoy their football, develop a love for the game and feel proud to wear the Stepaside jersey.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support in helping us make Stepaside FC a club our children love being part of and our wider community respects. 💙🖤
