The U11 Girls played their first ever game in the MGL this morning which also happened to be the first ever match of any code played on the new Fernhill pitch.
The girls started strongly taking a three goal lead through Heidi Murphy, Abby Morrin and Holly Webb, and when Kilnamanagh came back at them hard in the second half they held on to run out deserved winners 3-2.
A momentous day for the club, adding yet another girls team to the MGL and carrying on the vision of Tom Keogh, who’s son Reuben, as it happens, scored his first ever goal in the DDSL yesterday to make it a magical weekend.
