A brilliant Sunday yesterday across the club with great football, plenty of goals and a historic moment as we fielded two EWFL teams for the first time ever!
β½ Results & Highlights
Our U8s mixed team got the day started with an internal game in the sunshine at Saw. Beside them, one of our U11 boys teams hosted Blessington and while the result didnβt go their way, the boys played some lovely team football.
Our U11.6 boys produced a great performance to beat Phoenix 6β4, with Adam Keane grabbing a superb hat-trick.
Our U9 mixed team had a busy morning in Newbridge picking up a win, a loss and a draw, while our U11 girls battled hard away to Ballyoulster.
Our U13 Major girls (9-a-side) travelled to Glebe North to face league leaders Balbriggan in a tough away fixture.
It was great to have Ballyogan back playable, where our U12 girls hosted Firhouse and played out an entertaining 1β1 draw.
Our U10.7 girls played an internal game after Skerries were unable to make the trip β with some epic goals scored along the way.
The U10.6 girls travelled to Greystones and played some lovely football. Freya is knocking on the door of a hat-trick every week β itβs only a matter of time!
Our U13 boys shared the points with Tallaght Town in Fernhill, while our U14 girls also played out a 1β1 draw with neighbours Mount Merrion.
Unfortunately our U18 boysβ game against Maynooth did not go ahead.
Our U15 boys enjoyed the sunshine and produced a strong performance to beat Granada 3β1.
β Club Milestone
Today marked a huge milestone for the club as we fielded two EWFL teams for the first time ever.
Our EWFL A team got the day off to a great start with a win over Clonee, and later our EWFL B team made their debut in style, knocking Shankill out of the cup with a convincing 5β1 victory.
π Top of the Table
To round off the day, our U13 Major girls travelled to Peamount this evening and earned a 2β2 draw, a result that sends them top of the table.
